The Center for Inclusive Climate Communication (CICC) focuses on research, tool-building, training, and resource development that allows climate (and all) scientists to communicate and disseminate their findings broadly and effectively, ensuring that vital data reaches every corner of our diverse global community.
Our mission is to create a world where everyone has access to climate information, and inclusion keeps everyone informed.
The CICC brings together world-leading experts in the requisite fields, such as: Earth and Atmospheric Sciences; Psychology; Multimodal Displays and Sonification; Universal and Accessible Design; Inclusive Education; Assistive Technology; Environmental Justice; Creativity; Science Innovation; Engineering; Biologically Inspired Design; User Experience; Public Policy; Ethics; and more. Such an assemblage of knowledge and experience will facilitate the creation of accessible and engaging tools, methods, and information products, along with their application and deployment for the improvement of Science, Engineering, Education, and Public Policy related to climate change and weather. We plan to forge the existing projects and collaborations of our team into a fully funded Center for Inclusive Climate Communication (CICC).
