Research
Dr. Walker’s research generally falls in three categories: Sonification, Auditory Interfaces, and Human Computer Interaction. His work explores sonification and multimodal interaction, examining how sound enhances data interpretation and usability. He also investigates non-traditional HCI, including tactile and voice-based systems, and the psychological factors influencing technology adoption. His research applies to assistive technology, space systems, and government services.
